Now Notification closed · 15 Sep 2026Public notification of the proposed Development Scheme closed on 15 September 2026. EDQ will consider submissions under the statutory process. This site does not publish outcomes until EDQ does — check Have Your Say.
High-level public milestones only. Exact instruments and dates always come from EDQ. We do not invent future opening dates for roads or schools.
| When | Milestone | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 4 April 2025 | PDA declared | Southern Thornlands Priority Development Area under the Economic Development Act 2012 (~890 ha). |
| 2025 onwards | ILUP in effect | Interim Land Use Plan regulates development while a full Development Scheme is prepared. Early-release / Precinct 1 context east of Springacre Road appears in public material. |
| 2025 | Early applications / precinct processes | Individual applications may be notified separately. Always use EDQ notices — do not rely on media alone. |
| 3 Aug – 15 Sep 2026 | Proposed Development Scheme public notification | Closed (listed 15 Sep 2026). Public notification ended. See how submissions worked. Confirm on EDQ Have Your Say. |
| After 15 Sep 2026 | Consideration of submissions | Statutory steps follow. This site does not guess outcomes or a final-scheme date. Check official pages. |
| Longer term | Staged growth & infrastructure | Often described over roughly two decades. Capacity figures (~8,000 homes) are planning-scale, not a build calendar. |
